Normally pizza isn’t one of the healthiest dishes, but with only a few small adjustments, we can easily prepare a delicious and healthy pizza at home.
Ingredients
Crust:
- 360 g whole-wheat flour
- 200 ml lukewarm water
- 6 g dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon dried oregano
- salt
Topping:
- 2 colored bell peppers
- 5 champignon mushrooms
- 1 small red onion
- 3 tablespoons tomato sauce
- fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
Put the yeast and sugar in a small bowl with a little lukewarm water, mix them and wait a few minutes for the yeast to activate.
Put the flour in a large bowl and add the activated yeast, the dried oregano, three tablespoons of olive oil, and salt and mix them, gradually adding the remaining water. Knead the dough until it becomes smooth and elastic, then leave to rise in a bowl greased with olive oil for 1-2 hours (until doubled in volume).
While the dough is rising, clean and slice all the vegetables for the topping.
Divide the dough in two and roll it out with a rolling pin.
When the dough is rolled out, add the tomato sauce, the vegetables, and a few fresh basil leaves.
Bake the pizza in a preheated oven at 200°C for 30 minutes, then sprinkle with a few more fresh basil leaves and the pizza is ready to serve.
